The Atomic Age will be portrayed in this exhibit which examines the effects of the nuclear era on popular culture. The artifacts that will be displayed in the exhibit include examples of popular reading materials, a Howdy Doody puppet, examples of early Tupperware and a nuclear submarine lunch box, audio speakers from a drive-in movie theater, and several movie clips that depict both the unease with and the appreciation for the exciting science discoveries of the era, from the effects of radiation to the devastation of nuclear war.
