A Mississippi native who now makes Atlanta her home, Herring has built a name for herself by crafting in-depth story-songs. Critics describe her work as “timeless,” “pure,” “graceful,” and “powerful.” Her latest release, Lantana, was named by National Public Radio as one of the “Top Ten Best Folk Albums for 2008.” She has appeared on Garrison Keillor’s popular Prairie Home Companion radio show and on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered. Herring tours nationally and internationally, appearing in France, The Netherlands, Belgium and England during this past year.
